Story

It started with a few attorney friends.

The problem

When general-purpose AI arrived, our friends in law were early to try it — and early to see the problem. Generic tools didn’t know their jurisdiction, didn’t respect their professional obligations, and produced work they couldn’t trust without redoing it.

The first product

Those conversations became LexPrompt: a tool shaped by how solo and small-firm attorneys actually practice, built around verification instead of blind generation. It’s live today.

The model

It also became the model for the company. Listen to practitioners in a profession the software industry overlooks, find where general AI falls short of their standards, and build the focused tool that closes the gap.

LexPrompt is the first proof of that model. It won’t be the last.

John leads product and engineering. A co-founder of Quartesian alongside Benjamin, he architects and ships every Orthogonus product — from infrastructure and security to the details practitioners notice.
