Our Team
Benjamin Jackson
CEO, Co-founder
Benjamin Jackson worked 20 years as a statistical programmer for 4 of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies before he co-founded Quartesian in 2003, a contract research organization (CRO) that specialized in data management and analytics. In the role of CEO, he worked with his co-founders to build a company that grew to 550+ employees with 7 offices in 3 countries that served over 200 clients worldwide. He participated in the due diligence for company’s sale to a private equity firm in 2021.
A serial entrepreneur, he started Orthogonus in October 2022 with a former Quartesisn co-founder. Orthogonus’ goal is to partner with companies on their journey to reach their full potential by harnessing today’s latest technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing and analytics.
He holds a BBA degree in statistics and an MS degree in computer science.
John Xavier
CTO, Co-founder
Prior to Orthogonus, John worked for 10 years as a statistical programmer in the pharmaceutical industry before he co-founded Quartesian, a contract research organization (CRO) that specialized in data management and analytics. In his role as chief information office (CIO) he was responsible for Quartesian’s enterprise information security, cloud infrastructure, system administration, cloud migration, and application development.
After the acquisition of Quartesian by Veranex, John served as Senior Vice President of IT responsible for migrations, global IT infrastructure, cyber security, support services and overall IT operations.
John holds a BE degree in mechanical engineering.
